Chef At Your Door!

Throughout the 1980s, Chef Steve Coomes cooked at two of Louisville 's most legendary restaurants, Sixth Avenue and Casa Grisanti. After a year as sous chef at The Louisville Boat Club, he turned in his toque in 1991 to become a journalist and write about the restaurant and foodservice industry. Since then he has traveled the world as a food writer for more than two dozen publications, and he continues to write as a freelancer.

In 2007 he launched Chef at Your Door and has quickly built a reputation in and around Louisville for his customized culinary creations.

Chef Steve is Louisville native and a 1982 graduate of Saint Xavier High School and a 1992 graduate of the University of Louisville (B.S. in communication, cum laude). He is married, a father of one, and a resident of Goshen , Ky. He is a member in good standing of the American Personal and Private Chef Association (APPCA).
